GT Terminal for firms

The terminal your desk already knows, for a fraction of the seat cost.

Command-line functions, live markets, research and analytics in the layout your traders and analysts are used to. It runs on your own servers, reads your firm's research, and plugs into the Excel, Teams and Slack you already pay for.

Assumes switched users split 60% Pro ($250/user/month) and 40% Lite ($60), plus $120/user/month for licensed market data and $15,000 one-time setup. Same model as the terminal's SAVINGS screen.

The 3 seats you keep are for the people who need Bloomberg-only tools such as chat with outside counterparties or live corporate bond and CDS quotes. Everyone else moves: 13 to Pro, 9 to Lite. Bloomberg doesn't publish prices; firms commonly report $25,000 to $32,000 per seat per year, so put your own invoice into the calculator.

Why GT instead of another single-purpose tool

Most alternatives cover one slice: fundamentals, private markets, AI document search, or charts. GT keeps the whole terminal and adds what a closed network can't.

It knows your firm

The built-in analyst answers in plain English from live markets and from your own research library: memos, models, decks, notes. Every answer cites the document it used. Because it runs on your servers, that research never leaves the building.

ASKWORKSPACE

It works where your team works

Share any chart, comps table or analyst answer into Microsoft Teams or Slack in one click. Export any screen to Excel, add sheets to a workbook you already use, or link live data into Excel so it refreshes in place.

It's open and on the record

Every question, trade, export, share and upload goes into an audit log your compliance team can filter and export. Your developers can extend it in Python, and usage tracking tells you exactly which seats are needed.

AUDITSAVINGS

Built to get through procurement

Universities and firms send security and accessibility questionnaires before they buy. GT ships with the answers built in.

Sign in with your own accounts

Single sign-on through your identity provider (OpenID Connect, e.g. Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Google), with roles taken from it. Signed, HttpOnly sessions, sign-in attempt limits and standard browser security headers.

Data rights handled for you

Commercial mode uses only your licensed feed and public SEC, Treasury and FRED data. Prices carry a delay and source label, indices show as tracking ETFs unless you license them, and bulk downloads stay off until your licence allows them.

LEGALSOURCES

Privacy and accessibility

Every user accepts the terms on first use, with the acceptance recorded. Anyone can download or delete their data, and logs expire on a schedule you set. Automated WCAG 2.1 AA testing passes with no violations; manual assistive-technology testing is next.

How a pilot runs

  1. Install

GT goes on your own servers or private cloud. Connect your identity provider for single sign-on, your market-data licence and your Teams or Slack channel.

  2. Load your research

Upload memos, models and notes so the analyst can answer with your house views.

  3. Run it for two weeks

A group of users works in GT alongside Bloomberg. The terminal records which functions each person actually uses.

  4. Read the seat audit

SAVINGS recommends Pro, Lite or keep-Bloomberg for each person, with the savings from your real numbers.

What to know before you decide

Prices here are illustrative. GT seat prices, data costs and setup are example figures for planning. Your quote depends on seat count, data vendors and deployment.

Market data is licensed separately. A commercial deployment uses a licensed feed (real-time or delayed), or your existing data contracts. Exchange fees for professional users apply either way, and index levels need their own index licence; without one, GT shows the tracking ETFs.

Some things stay on Bloomberg for now: execution through EMSX, live dealer quotes for corporate bonds and CDS, deep private-markets deal databases, Bloomberg News exclusives, and chat with people outside your firm. GT covers the analytics for all of these; the live quotes need licensed feeds.

Find out what your firm would save

Start with a two-week pilot on a single desk. The seat audit at the end shows exactly who can switch.
